Marshals win another pitching duel against the Twins and they improve to 4-10 on the year. In the 2-1 victory the Marshals pitching impressed the crowd allowing only 1 run on 5 hits, 3 walks, and had 10 strikeouts. Wes Engle (Texas State) went 6 scoreless innings allowing 3 hits and 2 walks. Engle had 6 of the 10 strikeouts and received the win. Chase Morris (Brookhaven) went 3 innings, earning the save, allowing only 2 hits, 1 walk, and 1 run to score. Morris added 4 strikeouts for his outing. The Marshals offense used 4 hits and 8 walks to provide the 2 runs needed to get the win. Eric Bullock (Tyler J.C.) delivered a double that plated Connor Scruggs (University of Texas Dallas) in the 1st and the Marshals never lost their lead. In the 7th, Brandon Talley (La Tech) tripled and scored JT Vangelder (Paris J.C.) to give the Marshals a 2-0 lead. The Twins scored 1 in the 8th but were held scoreless every other inning.
