Marshals lose 9-1 in 1st Game vs Bombers

The Marshals fall 9-1 to the Bombers in Brazos Valley's Home Opener.  Jake Dohar (Cabrini) started on the mound for the Marshals.  Dohar kept the Bombers in check for 5 innings only allowing 2 runs, 1 earned, working around the 5 hits and 5 walks.  The Bombers broke the game open in the 7th inning as they batted around and scored 5.  Brazos Valley added 2 more in the 8th to put the score at 9-1.  Andre Ruche (Central Baptist College) scored on an error following his triple in the 3rd.  

The Marshals look to bounce back tonight in Game 2 vs the Bombers as they will play at 7:05pm.  Follow this series, the Texas Marshals will return to Graham Field for a 4 game homestand.  Saturday and Sunday, the Cane Cutters of Acadiana travel in for a 2 game series.  The Bombers will come to Graham Field on Monday and Tuesday to finish up the Marshals homestand.  All games have 7:05pm scheduled first pitches.
